Here at the Tift County Pre-K Center, our goal is to prepare your child for a never-ending educational journey. Our faculty and staff strive to open the minds of the children and get them ready for Kindergarten.
Our curriculum includes many of the basic skills that your child will experience in kindergarten. Through the use of literacy, field trips, hands-on activities, and various visits from members and organizations in our community our students begin building essential skills that will assist them in kindergarten and beyond. Your child will also have the opportunity to visit a kindergarten classroom and tour the school while at Pre-K. We will also provide parent workshops and materials to assist you at home with making your child’s transition to kindergarten successful.
You can also help your child get ready for the road ahead. Seize every available opportunity to read to them and with them. Sing a song, draw or color a picture together, take a walk around the neighborhood and allow them to experience their environment. Ask him/her about their day and watch them come alive.
Nurture your little one and believe in them. Most importantly, teach them to believe in themselves because the sky is the limit and their journey is just beginning.
