About the Teacher

Hello and welcome to Tift County Pre-K! I am very excited to be working with you and your child this school year.

I am a 2001 graduate of Pierce County High School. I attended Waycross College and obtained an Associates degree in Education in 2003. Upon graduation, I transferred to Valdosta State University where I received a Bachelor's degree in Education. I began teaching in Tift County in January of 2006. I married Jason Poppell of Tifton in November 2006. In 2009 I not only graduated with my Masters in Reading Education, I also gave birth to our son, Jaxson.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to get to know you and your child. I cherish this time to watch them grow, learn, and become better prepared for Kindergarten.

Great start!

We are off to a great start! Please be sure you are checking and signing your child's folder each day.  We send these home daily as some notes/documents will need to be signed and returned the next day.  Thank you for helping make the first two weeks of school a smooth transition for your child!

We are good on supplies for our class for right now.  I will send a note home letting you know when we are running low and need more.  Thank you so much for your support!

Supply List

If you are interested in donating any of the voluntary items to our class, there is a supply list on the Tift Schools main site and there is a list on our page under the resources tab.  Looking forward to a great school year!
